escapism

Through this poetic performance, I aim to question escapism by deconstructing the concept into sound thinking using a conversation between sound and shadow, to represent our inner confrontations. Tension, balance, movement, questions how to know when to change or confront.

The source of the sounds is recorded entirely from the installation itself except for my voice, which represent the constraints imposed upon ourselves, including the back track and real-time sounds triggered by micro-captors.

The installation includes acrylic, metal structure and elastics. It is a dance between material and immaterial. Every time the shadow tries to escape, it glitches.
