PRESENCE takes the form of an audiovisual dance performance where movement, sound and visual space evolve through a series of interconnected chapters.

Created in collaboration with dance artist Ariane Levasseur, the work develops the relationship between gesture and sound, where stillness, fluid motion and subtle shifts of the body are linked to distinct sounds.

Equipped with interactive gloves, Levasseur triggers sounds that punctuate and accompany her own choreography, while Gabriela Hébert controls the visuals live, following the progression of each chapter.

Through this dialogue between movement and sound, the piece reflects a personal journey of transformation and the constant state of change. PRESENCE becomes an exploration of the ideal we carry within ourselves, a vision of who we might become, made perceptible through the body in motion.
