“What does coexistence mean to you?”
Created in 2022, this generative sound installation explores coexistence through the voices of more than 25 individuals from different cultures, generations, and genders. Each participant responded to the question in their native language, forming a dialogue across languages and perspectives. Installed along an outdoor passageway, the work unfolded through 16 speakers, its voices recomposing themselves continuously, each return arriving altered.
The composition combines voices with field recordings, glitches, and fragments of urban life, creating a shifting dialogue between tangible and artificial, between language and communication, between what we hear, what we choose to listen to, and what we come to understand.
